Mailing Lists

PerfParse facilitates the storage and analysis of binary performance data produced by Nagios and produces high-quality accurate graphs of live data from standard Nagios plugins. A permanent history of plugin results can then be viewed with advanced analysis tools.

This project is an Add-On for Nagios®. Many thanks to Ethan Galstad.

Mailing Lists

There are two official mailing lists related to this project, you may choose to subscribe to one of both of these.

List Restrictions

Note: In an effort to fend off spam, these lists may be configured to allow only members to post messages. This means that non-members *cannot* post messages to these lists. You have two options if you want to post to a restricted list and are not a current subscriber:

  • Subscribe to the list and receive periodic list postings (this is a normal subscription)
  • Subscribe to the list and disable mail delivery to your account (this is done in the web page where you subscribe). If you disable mail delivery, you will not receive a copy of list postings.

Unsubscribing

Note: If you want to unsubscribe yourself from one of the mailing lists, do the following:

  1. Click on the subscribe/unsubscribe link for the appropriate list below. That will take you to the list subscription configuration page.
  2. At the very bottom of the page you will find an option to edit your subscription options (i.e. unsubscribe).
  3. Enter your email address (the one you subscribed to the list with) in the text field and click the "Edit Options" button.

At the next screen, enter your password in the appropriate field to be removed from the list. If you forgot the password that you initially used when you subscribed, use the password reminder option on the same page.

perfparse-users (perfparse-users@lists.sourceforge.net)

This is intended to be a general purpose list for users of PerfParse. If you're having problems installing PerfParse or getting things running, search the archive for possible solutions. If you can't find what you're looking for, post the problem description and someone may be able to help you out.

perfparse-devel (perfparse-devel@lists.sourceforge.net)

This is a list for people with an interest in working on PerfParse code, documentation, etc. It is also a place where you can report problems with the "core" code and suggest ideas for future enhancements.

Patches for PerfParse can be sent to this list. Please submit your patches in either unified or context diff format. Use the diff command with the -U 3 or -C 3 options to accomplish this.
Posting patches to the list provides a means of peer review and gives other users a chance to try the patch out if they want.
